In Webex Events Registration and the Web App, we also offer an optional overlay with selectable accessibility profiles and adjustments, powered by a third party AI solution. Keep reading to learn how activate the third-party overlay and and what the attendee experience is like.

Activate the Third-Party Accessibility Overlay

The third-party accessibility overlay is inactive by default. Follow the instructions below to activate it for the Web App and Registration.

⭐️ Keep in mind, the Webex Events mobile app doesn't offer the accessibility overlay.

Web App (Events and Communities)

In your Webex Event or Community, click the Web App tab, then click the 'Enable Third-Party Accessibility Overlay' toggle. Web App users can now access the third-party overlay.

Registration

In your Webex Events Registration event, hover over the Settings (⚙️) icon and click the General option. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the 'Enable Third-Party Accessibility Overlay' toggle. Registrants can now access the third-party overlay.

Third-party accessibility tools in the Web App

To view and activate or deactivate the third-party overlay in the Web App, click the user image in the bottom-left corner of the screen, then click Accessibility Adjustments to open the overlay menu.

Use the mouse or tab to select items in the Accessibility Adjustments panel. For keyboard operation, press Enter when an item is highlighted to toggle it on or off or adjust it up or down.

Third-party accessibility tools in Registration

To view and activate or deactivate the third-party overlay on a Registration page, click the Accessibility Adjustments link at the bottom of the screen.

Captions, translations, and interpretation

When you use Webex Events Streaming or the Webex Events RTMP player, you can use Webex Events Closed Captions & Translations to provide captions in 30+ languages at no additional cost! You can also work with a 3rd-party human caption provider such as SyncWords or Interprefy. Follow the links above to learn more.
