About Stripe

Stripe is a technology-first approach to payments that makes moving money as simple, borderless, and programmable as the rest of the internet. Stripe’s products power payments for all kinds of companies, including Webex Events Registration!

⭐️ Keep in mind, if you're charging for registration, you must connect Registration to Stripe before publishing it.

Key benefits

Instant payout

For ticket sales, Webex Events Registration with Stripe offers instant payout, meaning revenue is available immediately. You'll receive funds in your bank account as tickets are sold — not weeks later or after your event ends. 🙌

Secure and PCI-DSS compliant

Stripe’s processes power the world’s leading marketplaces and platforms and can help your business stay compliant. All payments are secure and PCI-DSS compliant.

Easy and fast set up

Account activation is a simple process that takes as little as 10 minutes: simply fill out the account application with basic information about your product, your business, and your own personal relationship to your business.

Invoices

Invoices provide an itemized list of goods and services rendered, which includes the cost, quantity, and taxes. Use the Stripe Dashboard to easily create one-off invoices or automate the process of collecting payments through Stripe API integration.

💡 Keep in mind, payment for Webex Events registrations paid by check or invoice must be settled outside the Webex Events platform.

How Stripe integrates with Webex Events

When setting up Event Registration, you designate whether your event is a paid event. After creating your first ticket on the Tickets page, you'll be prompted to connect your Event to Stripe. Simply follow the instructions in the Webex Events platform to link a Stripe account.👍

You'll also connect a Stripe account to our Lead Retrieval product if you plan to use Lead Retrieval Purchase Forms.

Why was a registrant's card declined?

If a card was declined, refer to Stripe's documentation on card declines for more information and troubleshooting.

What currencies does Stripe support?

How often can I get payouts?

  • If currency conversion is required, add 1%.

⭐️ Keep in mind, if you choose to pass Stripe fees to attendees, the total presented to attendees before checkout will be slightly lower than the final charge. Refer to Stripe's article about passing fees for more details.

For more information on payment processing fees, read Stripe's pricing guide.
