About Stripe

Stripe is a technology-first approach to payments that makes moving money as simple, borderless, and programmable as the rest of the internet. Stripe’s products power payments for all kinds of companies, including Webex Events Registration!

💡 Keep in mind, if you're accepting online payments for registration, you must connect Registration to Stripe before publishing it.

Key benefits

Instant payout

Because Webex Events Registration uses Stripe, ticket sales pay out instantly, meaning revenue is available immediately — not weeks later or after your event ends. 🙌

Secure and PCI-DSS compliant

Stripe’s processes power the world’s leading marketplaces and platforms and can help your business stay compliant. All payments are secure and PCI-DSS compliant.

Easy and fast setup

Account activation is a simple process that takes as little as 10 minutes. Simply fill out the account application with basic information about your product, your business, and your own personal relationship to your business.

Invoices

Invoices provide an itemized list of goods and services rendered, which includes the cost, quantity, and taxes. Use the Stripe Dashboard to easily create ad hoc invoices or automate the process of collecting payments through Stripe API integration.

💡 Keep in mind, payment for Webex Events registrations paid by check or invoice must be settled outside the Webex Events platform.

How Stripe integrates with Webex Events

When setting up Registration, you specify whether your event is a paid event. After creating your first paid ticket on the 'Tickets' page, click the Connect with Stripe button to create a new account or log in to an existing account.

💡 Keep in mind, if you don't have a Stripe account, always start by clicking the 'Connect with Stripe' button in the Webex Events platform. This button takes you through a Stripe account creation process customized for Webex Events (Socio).

You'll also connect a Stripe account to our Lead Retrieval product if you plan to use Lead Retrieval Purchase Forms.

If a card was declined, refer to Stripe's document about card declines for more information and troubleshooting.

What currencies does Stripe support?

Stripe supports more than a hundred currencies and multiple payment methods. For more information, refer to Stripe's list of supported currencies.
