The Follow Us feature gives your attendees one location where they can find social and website links and contact information for your event, your organization, your speakers, and more. 👍 This makes it easy for attendees to find and engage with your Event App across any social media platforms or websites.

⭐️ Keep in mind, though this article refers to Events, these instructions apply to Communities, too.


Add the Follow Us feature

In your Event navigation bar under ‘Event App’ (or 'Community' in a Community), click Features, then click Add Features. In the modal that appears, click Add under the Follow Us feature, then close the modal.

Edit settings

To customize the feature name and icon or limit its visibility using Groups, hover over the feature and click the Settings (⚙️) icon.

When you're done making updates, click Save Changes.

Add Follow Us items

Now it's time to start adding ways for people to follow, contact, and learn more about you, your event, and your partners!

In your Event's navigation bar under 'Event App' (or 'Community' in a Community), click Features, then click Follow Us. This takes you to the Follow Us page. Click New Item.

In the modal that appears, select the type of item from the drop-down and enter the specific item details.

⭐ Keep in mind, you can't reorder Follow Us items, so create them in the order you want them to appear to attendees.

The options in the drop-down list are:

  • Email

  • Phone

  • Website

  • Address

  • LinkedIn User

  • LinkedIn Company

  • LinkedIn Group

  • LinkedIn Hashtag

  • LinkedIn Showcase

  • Facebook User

  • Facebook Page

  • Facebook Groups

  • Facebook Events

  • Twitter

  • Twitter Hashtag

  • Instagram

  • Snapchat

  • YouTube

  • YouTube Channel

  • YouTube Custom Channel

  • Skype

  • Slack Community

  • WeChat

  • Pinterest

When you're done, click Save Changes. Repeat this process as many times as you like!

Manage items

To edit or delete an item you've added, click the Settings (⚙️) icon next to it.

The Follow Us feature in practice

Attendees click to open the feature to view items, then click an item to open the website or social account, or see more details, depending on the item type.

Here are a few examples:

  • Links to websites simply open in a new browser tab.

  • Selecting a phone number on a mobile device gives the user the option to call or open the number in an app.

  • Selecting an email opens the user's default mail application. Tapping addresses opens the address in Google Maps.


After attendees have had a chance to click around the Event App, review the Feature Comparison chart on the Metrics tab to find the number of clicks for each social link.

Pro tip! 😎

  • Make sure that you're using the 'share link' for any websites you want to add, if available, and not simply copying the hyperlink in your browser since it may be different.
