Attendee feedback is crucial to helping you improve your events year over year. The Ratings & Reviews option makes it simple to collect attendee feedback for sessions, speakers, sponsors, and more. Let's explore! 🔍

Features with Ratings & Reviews

The following features support Ratings & Reviews:

💡 Keep in mind, the Ratings & Reviews option is active by default when you add any of these features to your Event App.

Customize Ratings & Reviews

  1. In your Event navigation bar, click Features.

  2. Hover over the feature you want to manage and click the Settings (⚙️) icon.

The Agenda feature Settings icon on the Features page.
  3. In the Feature Settings modal, activate or deactivate the following settings under the 'Ratings & Reviews' section:

The Ratings and reviews section of the Agenda Settings modal.
    • Allow users to rate items in this feature - When this box is checked, ratings and reviews are activated for the entire feature. Ratings and reviews are active by default.

    • Show average rating - Check this box to show attendees the average ratings for feature items. The average updates automatically whenever someone submits a new rating.

    • Allow users to write reviews - Check this box to let attendees write custom text reviews in addition to giving star ratings.

    • Allow users to write anonymous reviews - Check this box to let attendees give their feedback anonymously. Attendees can't read other attendees' written reviews, even if this box isn't checked.

Ratings and reviews in practice

In the Web App or the Mobile App, an item's rating appears below the item title. Attendees click 'Rate Now', and add a star rating.

  • If written reviews are active, attendees can also write a review for the item.

  • If anonymous reviews are active, attendees can click the 'Rate anonymously' toggle to hide their information from the review.

When the attendee is done, they click 'Submit'.

After an attendee leaves a rating and review, they can edit them at any time by tapping the 'Rate Now' button again.

💡 Keep in mind, if an attendee edits their review, both the original review and the edited review are shown in the metrics described below.

Review the results

After attendees leave ratings and reviews, it's easy to review results!

  1. On your Event App's Metrics page, scroll down to the Feature Comparison chart and use the navigation arrows at the top left corner to locate and click on a feature.

  2. Scroll to the far right to find the 'Avg. Rating' field.

  3. Click on the stars next to an item to open the average rating modal. This modal shows who left reviews, their rating, and their review if they left one.
