Set up Slido

Create a new Slido event, and configure the activities as desired.

⭐️ Keep in mind, testing is highly recommended! Poll and question responses can be cleared before the event starts.

Invite other team members to Slido to assist in administrating if necessary.

Pass data from Socio to Slido

Before we talk about where Slido links can go, let's talk about passing attendee data to Slido.

Any place in Socio where you can enter an External Link to another website, you can click the Pass Data to URL box to send attendee data from Socio to the URL. For Slido implementation, this means that attendees don't have to fill in their name, email, or company, or select their preferred language! They can start interacting with Slido with a single click.

The best part? You don't have to configure the Slido URL with placeholders or do any extra configuration in Slido. Simply enter the URL for your Slido event into Socio, and check the Pass Data to URL box. From there, data is passed automatically.

Add Slido as a feature in your Event App

Create a Web Link feature and add the Slido link using these instructions.

⭐️ Keep in mind, we recommend checking the box to Open link in external browser (Safari, Chrome), recommended for donations. This allows attendees to use both apps at the same time!

Add Slido to a feature or item

You can also add a Slido link anywhere you find the External Link field in Socio. To learn all about where external links can be added, check this out!

Embed Slido with a Custom Tab

When you create an Agenda session or Live Stream feature, you can turn on the Custom Tab option and then paste in a Slido link. This embeds Slido into the Event App so Web App attendees can interact with Slido without leaving the live stream!
