About Walls.io

Walls.io is a web-based social wall solution that lets you collect, curate, and display content in an easy-to-customize feed. You can collect content from multiple social media platforms or let your audience post content directly on your wall. It even integrates with your Snapbar selfie booth!

Walls.io resources

You can read about Walls.io in the useful articles on their help center.

Create your wall

To create your wall, go to Walls.io, create your free account, then follow the instructions in their quickstart guide to create a free social wall.

When you get to step 5 of the guide, simply copy the 'Wall URL' on the Settings > Basics page instead of using one of the 'Embed & Display' options.

Embed your wall in Webex Events

Add a Wall feature

If you'd like a dedicated feature in your Event App where folks can interact with the wall, use the Web Link feature.

Simply add the Web Link feature to your event, edit it, and enter the URL that you copied in the previous step. Make sure you uncheck the 'Open link in external browser' box so the wall will embed in your Event App's web experience. You don't need to use the Pass Data to URL checkbox.

💡 Keep in mind, you can change the feature name and icon to better reflect your Wall! Click the Settings (⚙️) icon to change them.

Web users can post and view wall content inside the Event App, without opening a new browser tab.

Mobile App users can click the Wall feature to launch the content in their device's default browser.

Embed with a Custom Tab

If you'd like to use your wall to boost attendee engagement during live streams, you can add it to a Live Stream feature or an Agenda session with a Custom Tab.

When you create an Agenda session or Live Stream feature, expand the 'Attendee Engagement' section, click the Enable Custom Tab toggle, and paste the Walls.io link into the 'Website URL' field. Enter a Tab Name so attendees know what to expect when they click on the tab. Click Save Changes, and you're done!

Web users can interact with the Wall in a tab to the right of the live stream panel, so they can post on the wall without leaving the live stream or opening a new browser tab.

Mobile App users can tap the custom tab to launch the Wall in their device's default browser.

Snapbar integration

If you're using a Snapbar selfie booth in your event, you can integrate it with your social wall! Selfies will be pushed to your social wall, either directly on publishing or after approval. Read Walls.io's Adding Snapbar to Your Wall article for more information. Learn how to also embed Snapbar in your Event App in our Snapbar For Fun article.

Now you know all about using Walls.io in your event!
