Pass Data to URL
There are lots of ways to customize Jotforms, such as password protection and multiple columns. One great feature is the ability to auto-fill fields with Webex Events user data, such as first and last name and email address, using the Pass Data to URL feature.
To do this, use our list of variables for the fields you want to auto-fill in Jotform by replacing each field's Unique Name with the corresponding variable (e.g. First Name = first_name). Follow the instructions in the video on this page to edit a field's unique name.
Copy the form link
If you're using the variables to auto-fill form fields as described earlier, follow these instructions from Jotform to copy the URL with the variables included.
If you're not using variables, simply click the Publish tab, then click Copy Link on the Quick Share sub-tab. It's that easy!
Add the form to your Event App
There are tons of places in the Webex Events Platform where you can add an Exteranal Link to another website. You can add a survey for a specific Agenda session, sponsor, speaker, or live stream. Refer to our article about External Links to learn all about these.
For now, let's learn how to add the form to a Web Link feature so you can see Jotform in action. 🎉
Simply add a Web Link feature to your event, edit the feature, and enter the URL you copied in the previous step. Make sure you uncheck 'Open link in external browser' if you want the form to embed in the Web App. If you used the Pass Data to URL variables as described earlier, check the Pass Data to URL box.
⭐️ Keep in mind, you can change the feature name and icon to better reflect your forms. Simply click the feature's Settings (⚙️) icon to change them.
Once you add the link, your form will embed in your event, and attendees on the Web App or Mobile App will be able to access your form and fill it out!
Here’s how the form appears on the Web App:
Here's how the form appears on the Mobile App:
⭐️ Keep in mind, websites can't be embedded in the Mobile App and always open in a mobile device's default browser.
You’re all set — enjoy!
