About Jotform

Jotform is a powerful online application that lets anyone quickly create custom online forms. Its intuitive drag-and-drop user interface makes building forms incredibly simple and doesn’t require you to write a single line of code. Using Jotform, create and publish forms, integrate them into your site, and receive responses by email.

Jotform provides a completely free service tier! If you need access to more forms and responses per month, refer to Jotform's pricing page for details.

Create a new form using Jotform

Once you’ve set up your account, follow the steps in Jotform's Create Forms article. Your first form can be ready in minutes!

Pass Data to URL

There are many ways to customize Jotforms, such as password protection and multiple columns. One great feature is the ability to auto-fill fields with Webex Events user data, such as first and last name and email address, using the Pass Data to URL function.

To do this, use our list of variables for the fields you want to auto-fill in Jotform by replacing each field's Unique Name with the corresponding variable (e.g. First Name = first_name). Follow the instructions in the video on Jotform's Prepopulating Form Fields via URL Parameters guide to edit a field's unique name.

Copy the form link

If you're using the variables to auto-fill form fields as described earlier, follow Jotform's instructions to copy the URL with the variables included.

If you're not using variables, simply click the Publish tab, then click Copy Link on the Quick Share sub-tab.

Add the form to your Event App

Now that you've copied the form link, you're ready to embed it in your Event App. There are lots of places you can embed a form! Read our article about External Links to learn more.

If you'd like the form to have a dedicated feature in your Event App, the Web Link feature is a great option.

Simply add the Web Link feature to your Event App, edit it, then enter the URL that you copied in the previous step. Make sure you uncheck the 'Open link in external browser' box so the form will embed in your Event App's web experience. You don't need to use the 'Pass Data to URL' checkbox.

The Edit Web Link modal.

💡 Keep in mind, change the feature name and icon to better reflect your forms so attendees know what to expect. Simply click the feature's Settings (⚙️) icon to change them.

Attendees using the Event App's web version can interact with your embedded form without leaving the Event App.

Mobile App users always access the form in their device's default browser.
