If you skipped linking your Onsite event to Webex Events Registration when you set it up, no problem! You can quickly and easily link the two so that attendee data can flow into Onsite automatically. If you're using an Event App, and not Webex Events Registration, you can link your Event App to Webex Events Onsite instead.

⭐️ Keep in mind, if you have an Event App that's linked to Registration, Onsite links to both the Event App and Registration.

Why link?

When you link Webex Events Onsite to Webex Events Registration and/or an Event App or Community, all attendee data flows into Onsite automatically, so there's no need to import attendees manually.

Registration

All tickets you create in Webex Events Registration flow into Onsite as Attendee Types. You can use Attendee Types to create badges for specific groups of attendees or to create visibility rules for elements on a badge. Onsite also uses attendees' ticket QR codes, so attendees can use the 'Check In with QR Code' feature.

Event App

If you're using an In Person or Hybrid type Event App without Webex Events Registration, consider linking Onsite to your Event App so attendee data flows into Onsite. For Event Apps with active Lead Retrieval, you can print Lead Retrieval QR codes on attendee badges, and attendees can check in with those QR codes.

⭐️ Keep in mind, attendees synced from an Event App or Community that isn't linked to Webex Events Registration won't have an Attendee Type. If you need to use Attendee Types for badges or visibility rules, consider exporting Onsite attendees, filling in Attendee Type values, and then re-importing.

Link to Registration

Go to the Attendees tab and click the Integration button. In the modal that appears, find the Registration event you want to link to, select it, then click Save Changes.

Screenshot of the process just described.

Attendees will now automatically flow into Webex Events Onsite from your Registration event. 🌊

Link to an Event App/Community

⚠️ Caution! The Settings menu is only available after publishing Onsite. To publish, you must have at least one complete badge design and one attendee.

Hover your cursor over the Settings menu and select Pair an Event. In the modal that appears, find the Webex Events App or Community you want to link to, select it, and then click Save Changes.

Attendees will now automatically flow into Webex Events Onsite from your Event App or Community.

Now that Onsite is linked, take a look at creating badges based on Attendee Types!
