⭐️ Keep in mind, Socio Streaming is powered by StreamYard. If you're interested in StreamYard, we highly encourage you to check out Socio Streaming! You'll get all the features of StreamYard, and more — all without having to create a StreamYard account.
StreamYard is a live streaming studio that you can use from your browser. Their focus is on making sure that live streaming is "fun instead of stressful – a tool that [is] simple, but powerful enough to create engaging content." Their mission? "We wanted people who weren’t techy, or who simply didn’t want to deal with the hassle of streaming, to still go live, share their stories, and grow their own communities."
Sounds good? It gets better. With StreamYard, you can stream directly to Socio, using our RTMP Player. 🙌
⭐️ Keep in mind, Socio recommends StreamYard for most events. If your event is more advanced, check out the downloadable broadcast software available and talk to your AV company.
Stream to Multiple Platforms Simultaneously
StreamYard works with Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Periscope, Twitch, and custom RTMP outputs, including Socio.
Brand Your Broadcast
Make the show your own by choosing colors, images, themes, overlays, backgrounds, GIFs, and even videos.
StreamYard runs from your browser. Plus, even though StreamYard is simple, techy folks love how powerful it is under the hood, and how effective it is for streaming.
You don’t need to know anything about technology or streaming to get started. If you're managing your broadcasting studio yourself, or otherwise want to keep things simple, StreamYard is ideal. It takes care of the complex stuff, so that you can focus on your content.

Does StreamYard charge based on the size of my event?
No, you pay StreamYard a fee to use their broadcasting software, with pricing based on the features and functionality you need. The number of attendees, or "load," is handled by the RTMP provider — in this case, Socio.
Can I use StreamYard to replay content that I recorded ahead of time?
Generally, no. StreamYard has a limit of 200 MBs and a limit of 10 minutes for pre-recorded content; these limits are per video. StreamYard is more suitable for short intro/outro videos. If you'd like to pre-record content and schedule it to auto-play, we recommend you check out a broadcasting software like OneStream that does this well.
Which StreamYard package should I purchase?
We recommend that you use their free version to play around and make sure it will work well for your event. After that, we recommend their Professional package.
