Data storage and backup practices
Webex Events is exclusively hosted from an Amazon Web Services (AWS) tenant in the USA, and all data stays resident within the USA. We perform continuous disk-to-disk backups to protect against data loss.
GDPR and CCPA
Webex Events is fully General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) compliant.
GDPR is designed to give European Union (EU) citizens more control over their personal data. As a GDPR-compliant business, we make sure that any personal data gathered through our platform is done so legally and under strict conditions. We protect personal data from misuse and exploitation and respect the rights of data owners. Read about the rules under GDPR for more details.
CCPA grants any Californian consumer the right to know what information we're collecting about them and to request that Webex Events provide access to or deletion of their personal information. Read the full CCPA bill to learn more.
To submit a data privacy request, complete the Cisco Data Protection & Privacy form, then follow the instructions in the email you receive.
Accessibility
We firmly believe that the internet should be available and accessible to anyone, and we're committed to providing products that are accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance and ability.
To fulfill this, we aim to adhere as strictly as possible to the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at the AA level. These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities. Following these guidelines helps us ensure our platform, Web App, mobile apps, and website are accessible to all people regardless of disability.
