Socio's Eventbrite integration allows you to seamlessly sync attendee data between systems. It enhances your event building experience by allowing you to effortlessly bring over attendees from your Eventbrite event, into the Socio attendee list. It also reduces error with manual input.
The standard integration we provide for Eventbrite as well as some best practices that we recommend are outlined below. For any additional functionality, reach out to your Socio contact!
Eventbrite is a global self-service ticketing platform for live experiences. Eventbrite allows anyone to create, share, find and attend events that fuel their passions and enrich their lives.
How Eventbrite integrates with Socio
- Setup is simple! After we receive the credentials and integration details, we'll confirm that all needed information is collected. After that, we'll set up the standard integration within 5 business days. There's no fee associated with Eventbrite to access this token.
- See below for more information on how to access your Private Token. Once you have your Private Token, please send it to your Socio contact.
- The integration will pull updates from Eventbrite every 5 minutes.
Eventbrite to Socio Field Mappings
The standard Eventbrite integration pulls the following data points from the Eventbrite attendees:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
- Job Title
- Company / Organization
- Barcode (External ID)
- Ticket Type (Groups)
As an additional cost add-on, the following fields may also be included in the integration:
- Phone, Work Phone or Cell Phone
- Custom questions
⭐️ Keep in mind, you must request these additional fields if you'd like these to be included in your integration.
How to Access Your Private Token
We require the following information in order to configure the Eventbrite integration:
- Private Token
To begin, log into your Eventbrite account and navigate to https://www.eventbrite.com/platform/api-keys. You'll see the following page:
Click the Copy icon to the right of your private token to copy the token to your clipboard. Pass it to us using a secure method.

What happens when multiple users with the same email register in Eventbrite?
It's possible for multiple tickets to be associated with one email address in Eventbrite, if a person placed orders for a group. Since users sign into Socio with their email, only one of the guest's information will be brought over by default. To address the email duplication issue, you should manually update the guest's email in order to have it populate correctly in the Socio Platform. Click here to learn more about Socio's user profile.
To update an attendee's email manually in Eventbrite, click Manage Attendees in the left panel of your Eventbrite event.
Why is there a discrepancy between the number of attendees on the Socio Platform and my Eventbrite attendee list?
This is usually due to the duplicate email issue described above.
What happens when an update happens in Eventbrite?
Fields pulled from Eventbrite overwrite the fields on the Socio Platform. Keep this in mind and avoid integrating fields that you or the Eventbrite users might update frequently, such as the biography.
It's also possible to only bring over attendee information one time, and not sync updates. Let us know in advance if this is something you're interested in.
