The Socio Lead Retrieval app is the most seamless way for your sponsors and exhibitors to capture leads with enriched data—all by scanning attendees' QR codes. While exhibitors can add leads manually, scanning QR codes allows them to focus on engaging and qualifying the lead. The QR codes are usually scanned from printed name badges, but they can also be scanned from the app directly. Learn more below! 👇
QR Codes on printed badges
Socio Onsite
When you use Socio's powerful Onsite on-demand badge printing and event check-in solution, you can print Attendee QR codes on badges as people check in! It's simple to use, yet incredibly robust. For more on Socio Onsite, check this out.
3rd-party QR printing
Alternatively, you can print the QR Codes for your attendees. Start from the Lead Retrieval section of the Platform and follow the steps below to download your QR Codes.
⚠️ Caution! You must always use the QR codes we provide. Lead Retrieval will not work with QR codes from any other source.
From any page in the Socio Platform, click Lead Retrieval, and then click your Event. Now, click QR Codes. In the modal that appears, click Download QR Codes.
⭐️ Keep in mind, before printing badges, ensure that all attendees are in the event. If you're not using Socio Registration, you can upload attendees via the Users & Groups page in your Event.
QR Codes inside the Event App
Once you activate Lead Retrieval for an event, a QR Code feature will be added for each attendee. An attendee can simply tap this feature to view their personal QR Code and allow an exhibitor to scan it.
QR Codes on an attendee's profile
To view and download an individual user's QR code in the Socio Platform, navigate to the Users & Groups page of your Socio Event. There are three options for opening the QR Code from here.
Click the Settings (⚙️) icon and click Show QR Code.
Or, click the user's row, and on their personal profile, click the Show QR Code button. Finally, you can also click the Settings (⚙️) icon on this page and click Show QR Code.
The user's personal QR code opens. Click Download as PNG to download a high-quality image of the individual QR code.
Pro Tip! 😎
The External ID user field allows you to identify users in our system with your preferred unique identifier from a system outside of Socio, usually a third party or proprietary system. When this optional field is not used, the Socio Platform assigns a User ID.
