The last step in creating a Branded App is submitting it to the Webex Events team for publication on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. After you submit your Branded App, visit your My Apps page on the Webex Events platform to track its progress.

App statuses

As your app moves through each stage, its status updates to reflect its current state.

💡 Keep in mind, Waiting for App Store Approval and Available statuses may take up to a day to reflect the actual status in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

The App Statuses, from top to bottom: Building, Processing, Waiting App Store Approval, Available, Blocked, Inactive.

The Building status indicator from the Webex Events platform.

The Building status means you and your team haven't submitted the app yet. Continue to make changes and update everything related to your app. When you're ready, publish your Branded App to start the submission process.

The Processing status indicator from the Webex Events platform.

The Processing status means that Webex Events is reviewing your app and building it for submission to Apple and Google. This status also appears when you submit edits to the app, or when you're updating the app to the latest version. This step usually takes 3-4 business days.

If your event is coming up soon, start a chat with our support team to let them know so that we can mark your app as urgent.

💡 Keep in mind, when you first submit your Branded App, you and your attendees won't be able to access the Web App for any linked Event Apps for 3-4 days while our team prepares your app for app store approval. To ensure the app processes in as little time as possible, follow our steps for submitting a hassle-free Branded App.

If your app's status stays in Processing longer than 4 business days, check your email for a message from our app team. We've likely contacted you about an issue preventing the app from moving to the next stage. Check your spam and junk folders! If you can't find any message from us, start a chat with our support team or email support@socio.events.

The Waiting App Store Approval status indicator from the Webex Events platform.

The Waiting App Store Approval status means we've built the app and submitted it to Apple and Google for review. The app approval timeframe depends on Apple and Google, so we can't provide a perfectly accurate estimate on when your app will become available.

Apple's app approval can take up to 21 days, so always submit your app at least 21 days before your event. We've experienced almost all apps approved within 4-10 days.

⚠️ Caution! We've noticed longer review times for well-known companies, such as Fortune 1000 companies, due to security. If your company is on the Fortune 1000 list, make sure to submit 1-2 weeks earlier than our standard recommendation.

If you get a notification from Apple or Google that something is wrong with your app, they'll notify our team, too. Let our app team handle it for you! 👍

The Available status indicator from the Webex Events platform.

The Available status means your App is approved and available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Congratulations, your attendees can download and start exploring your app!

The Blocked status indicator from the Webex Events platform.

The Blocked status means you haven't accepted the Apple developer or tax agreements after multiple attempts to contact you. Contact our support team as soon as possible if your Branded App's status is 'Blocked'.

The Inactive status indicator from the Webex Events platform.

The Inactive status appears on your App in the following situations:

  • You didn't renew with Webex Events and your Branded App has expired.

  • Payment for Webex Events services wasn't submitted on time.

  • Your app is many versions out of date and major app functionality has been deprecated or has major security vulnerabilities.

  • You've requested temporary app removal from both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Now that you know all about Branded App statuses, why not learn how to submit a hassle-free Branded App so your app sails through the approval process? ⛵
