A Live Stream thrives on good presentations. Our Production Studio helps you to deliver successful presentations by uploading PDF Presentations and navigating between slides using the Clicker in your mobile devices. This article shows how to upload presentations, edit them, and access the Clicker.
💡 Keep in mind, presentations are only allowed in PDF format. If you have your presentations in Powerpoint, Google Slides or in Keynote, read our instructions here on how to export them in PDF format before uploading it to the Studio.
Uploading PDF Presentations to the Studio
Once your presentation is exported in PDF format, click Add then click Add PDF Presentation on the control bar to open the PDF gallery.
On the gallery, click Upload PDF to upload files from your device to backstage as a presentation card. To add previously uploaded presentations to the backstage as a card, click on the PDF in the gallery and click Add.
Managing the Presentation Card
Once added to the backstage, only Producers have the ability to put the presentation on the stage.
On the card, there are arrows for the next and previous slide, as well as a dropdown arrow to jump to any slide. Same navigation options are available when the card is on stage.
The three dots on the cards gives three options. Edit Presentation, Remove from Stage, or Remove from Studio.
Edit Presentation: This opens up the edit modal. Here you can preview the slides, add or edit slide transitions, update the presentation name, and enable or disable Clicker for the presentation. You can find more information about this on the upcoming section.
Remove from Stage: This option is only visible to the Producer. This will remove the presentation from the stage. It will remain as a backstage card.
Remove from Studio: This will remove the PDF from the backstage only. The presentation will still be accessible in the PDF Gallery.
Deleting a PDF
To remove a PDF completely from the Studio, click Add then click Add PDF Presentation on the control bar to open the PDF gallery. From there, click the Delete (trash can) icon on the top right of the file.
💡 Keep in mind, on the Presentation Gallery producers have 2 tabs named My presentations and Others. Others will show all the PDFs added by other speakers and producers. Even if a speaker leaves the studio, PDFs they uploaded will be available to the producers on Others tab.
Editing Presentations
In the Edit modal, it is possible to preview the slides, add or edit slide transitions, change the presentation name, and enable or disable Clicker for the presentation.
To access the Edit modal, open the PDF gallery by clicking Add then Add PDF Presentation on the control bar. From there, click the pencil icon on the PDF.
Page Transitions
On the Edit modal, the icons on the bottom are page transitions. To assign a page transition, click on a page on the left then click on a transition on the bottom.
Clicking on Apply to All on the right will apply the selected transition to all the pages. Once you click Apply to All, for a few seconds the same button will turn into an Undo button to cancel the selection.
Once a transition is applied to a page, there will be a star icon on the bottom left corner of that page.
Checking the Allow operating with Clicker checkbox enables the Clicker for that presentation. By default, this checkbox is checked. Read the following section for more information on the Clicker.
Clicker
No more saying ''next slide please'' during presentations. With the Clicker, presenters can navigate between slides easily from a mobile device. It is a simple, but powerful tool that has left/right arrows allowing presenters to move to the next or previous slide onstage.
To access the Clicker, click on the Settings page on the left bar and click Clicker.
Then, scan the QR Code, or use the link to open the Clicker.
Producers can enable or disable the Clicker for a particular Studio by checking the Activate Clicker for everyone checkbox on top of the QR Code.
Producers can also reset the Clicker link if needed from the Refresh button on the bottom the Clicker URL.
💡 Keep in mind, the Clicker operates the presentation onstage. If there's no presentation onstage or the Clicker is disabled for that presentation, the Clicker page will show “It looks empty here''. If the Clicker link is deactivated by refreshing it, the Clicker page will show ''Clicker expired”.
Things To Know
Maximum 5 files at a time can be uploaded for up to 50 MB per file.
Animations and embedded videos in presentations will not function in Studio. Instead, presenters can set slide transitions after uploading their presentations to the Studio. They can also use our overlay videos, or share additional video files for video presentations.
Returning speakers will see their previously uploaded presentations in the gallery, allowing them to avoid re-uploading. However, if a presenter rejoins Studio from a different device or browser (or from an incognito window), they may not be able to see their previously uploaded presentations.
There is a QR Code on the top left of the presentation onstage that is magnified once hovered over. Users can scan it to access the Clicker.
