Live streaming can generate significant network traffic, which can be challenging during your large internal events. Kollective's eCDN leverages peer-to-peer (P2P) technology to distribute video content efficiently across your corporate network, minimizes bandwidth usage, and helps reduce buffering, making it ideal for company-wide meetings, town halls, and training sessions.

If you're a Webex Suite Enterprise (Suite EA) customer and already a Kollective customer, you can use Kollective eCDN with Webex Events Production Studio. This article shows IT admins how to establish a Webex integration on Kollective and set up Kollective eCDN in Control Hub.

Getting Started

If they haven't already, your Cisco partner must give you a full administrator account on Webex Control Hub and Kollective admin portal. If you're not sure who your Control Hub admin is, chat with us or email support@socio.events, and we can help.

Establish a Webex Integration on Kollective portal

Kollective Admins can establish an integration and get the Tenant ID and Service Token. From the Kollective portal:

Login to Kollective portal on portal.kollective.app and click Manage from the left navigation, then click Integrations.

Click on Cisco Webex to activate the integration. In the modal that appears, click ADD INTEGRATION, and copy the Tenant ID and Service Token.

The steps just described.

Now you’re ready to enter these Tenant ID and Service Token to your Control Hub account.

Enter the Tenant ID and Service Token into Webex Control Hub

Webex Control Hub Admins can enter in the Tenant ID and Service Token from Kollective. Here's how to enter your Kollective integration details from Control Hub.

Login to Control Hub and Click Meeting from the left navigation. Then go to Settings tab and scroll down to the Webcast section.

Toggle on Webcast to enable it. Choose Kollective from the dropdown and paste in your Tenant ID and Service Token

Test your integration to make sure everything is fine by clicking on Test Kollective settings button. If all is well, a message will appear confirming that your credentials are correct.

Click Save. Your Kollective eCDN is now available on Webex Events!
